About

Started with a summer, ended with forever. Atomic Lights began as pact in mid 2012. A promise between three friends to rock no matter the cost. Andrew, Chris, and Greg's friendship started in the Northwestern suburbs of Minneapolis. Birthed during those familiar awkward teenage years where you didn't want to be at school nor at home. Those kids needed outlet and they found it: in the life affirming grace of punk rock. Soon after, they began practicing as often as they could (much to the alarm and discomfort of Greg's parents). After awhile something became quite clear...they would have to try their sound out in the wild.

Playing wherever they could, Atomic Lights have always brought their music to whoever would listen. Ranging from teen centers to barns, and skate parks to patio bars, Atomic Lights would not judge as long as there was an available electrical plug. They recorded and released many songs from 2012-2016. None of them are noteworthy, so we'll breeze past those recordings.

Released on June 13, 2016, "Burn Out" brought the atomic sound to the world in a way never heard before. After moving well-over 150 copies, Atomic Lights were sure of two things: they knew they were on to something mediocore and it was time to take this show on the road.

Embarking in the summer of 2017, Atomic Lights went out on their first proper tour. Driving in a 1990's Econoline that leaked gas all throughout the interstates of the Midwest, it is amazing they made it home in one piece.

From their travels came a camaraderie that will forever remain. With any deeply personal experience comes a hefty amount of stress, so Atomic Lights stayed relatively quiet throughout 2018. 2019 sparked the joining of forces with Houston and the Dirty Rats. Together they brought their brand of dirty punk rock around the Midwest. With ample down time as a direct result of the 2020 pandemic, Atomic Lights were able to get their lives in order and record a full length album. This batch of recordings will be made available to the general public in the spring of 2024.

Stay Loud.
